To Breathe or not to Breathe
Silly question, right? When it comes to eating though, to eat or not to eat is not nearly as obvious. If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times from clients who say they have a healthy diet, but when I ask them what they had for breakfast they immediately admit to not eating breakfast. The most frequent reason why is no time. We've all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but IT REALLY IS. It sets the tone for self-care. If you're skipping the most important meal of the day, how good are you really taking care of yourself. Every meal is an opportunity to nourish your body and your BRAIN. In today's world of processed convenience carb-laden foods the meals we do manage to take in do little to nourish our brains. Symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, distractibility and impulsivity can be greatly reduced by just cleaning up your diet.
It's also important to consider what you're eating: hydrogenated oils? msg? high fructose corn syrup. Make it count: eat fresh whole foods 80 to 90 percent of the time, save the palette-pleasing novelty foods like sodas and junk food for the other 10 percent.
Grab a fork, let's eat!
